· Abuse happens and is more common then people realize
· I think that it is wrong for a parent or guardian to abuse their child but I don’t think that there is a problem with a parent or guardian to disicpline their child
· There are four major types of child abuse: physical abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, and emotional abuse:
· physical abuse this is when the parent or guardian inflects in injury on the child by punching, beating, kicking, biting, burning, shaking or otherwise harming a child. The parent may not have intendtion to harm the child but may resulted from out-of-control or excessive discipline or physical punishment.
· neglect is when the parent or gurdian failes to provide the child's basic needs. Neglect can involve physical, educational, or emotional deprivation
· emotional abuse (psychological/verbal abuse/mental injury) includes acts or omissions by the parents, gardian,or others, that have caused, or could cause, serious behavioral, cognitive, emotional, or mental disorders.
· sexual abuse includes fondling with the child's genitals, intercourse, incest, rape, sodomy, exhibitionism, and commercial exploitation through prostitution or the production of pornographic materials.
· I feel that a parent has no right or no reason to do any of this to a child
· I also feel that it is the parents responable to pervent something like this to ever happen to there child
· I also feel that there is a different between abuse you child and disicplining your child
· Discipline begins with clearly communicating, instructing, and teaching your children. Both the Old Testament and New Testament word supports parent to disicpline their child but this is only the first step into disicplining your child
· The next step would be to train and direct the growth of the child
· And finale correction, meaning to take action if the child has done something wrong
· The difference between abuse and disicplining your child is that there is usally no reason for the parent to be abusing their child but the reason for disicpline ypur child is to correct the child when they have done something wrong, to trian the child and to teach the child right from wrong

In all of part 7 the human talks about the Nazis and how they kill off every person on the world but the Aryan people. when the human was in school he wrote a report on a guy named Kurt that feels his life is one big lie. the human his the same feeling as the guy Kurt in his report, the only thing is that he does not know what the lie is.
I feel that when you go though life seeing what is going on there are no lies and was new generations come in the picture they do not want them to know because maybe they did not like what they did so you teach the people what you know.
the human being to stop caring as much as he did, why, i think it was because he has no proof of what the lie is and people are going to think he is crazy. My big question would be if he feels this why dose he find out what the lie and i guess prove to people that he is not crazy?
if you have read this book what is your big question?

Hasahni P.

“In order to become fully human, man had to pull himself out of the slime. And all this is a result. As the takers see, the gods gave the same choice they gave Achilles: a brief life of glory or a long, uneventful life in obscurity. And the takers choose a brief life of glory. (p.75)”

Ishmael is trying to explain to his pupil that man had to become more that jest another creature on the world and in that result they had to change from being hunter-gathers to being agriculturalist. And this part explains itself, the gods gave as us the choice to have a brief life of glory or a long life uneventful life of nothingness and we choose a brief life of glory. In other words if someone gave you the choice to have a life of fame and fortune but you only lived to be 50 or to be a farmer but you lived to be 100 what would you choose? For my it depends if I live a health life while I am 100 then I may do it, the bad thing about that is I would have seen a lot of death and I really do not have to say this, everyone wants fame but I would not want to do that if I am not going to be happy so my choose would be live to be 100 and I am not saying this to sound like a better person.

What dose the taker's creation myth tell Ishmael about us?
First it dependence in what you believe in. Ishmael talks about both evolution and Adam and Eve. Man was made for the world and to role it but before this man was a to know that they were not like any other thing on this world and in order to realize this they had to come from being hunter -gather to agriculturalist.

How does the story of Cain and Able reinforce Taker mythology?
So in this story Cain and Able are brothers but Cain is a tiller and Able is a herder. Cain kills his brother and takes all of the land. This story reinforce this because over time all of the takes have been killing the leavers one by one and in order to get what we want we are while to do anything for that to happen like killing our fellow brother.

What questions does this chapter pose to you about your own understanding of the world?
I did not have many question but this book opened my mind to a lot of things, like the fact that we are did this to our world and that we are not going to stop until we have every thing. I read the bible often and the only Adam and Eve thing is clear to me in some ways, wait I do not understand is that if god known that Adam and Eve were going to eat off that tree way did he put it there i guess that is jest how he works.
